Securing water in agriculture to secure Europe
Water is not an option: it is the basis of all living systems. Securing water for agriculture is not a sectoral concern, but a prerequisite for ecological stability, food security, and EU resilience. The European Commission’s Water Resilience Strategy should become a crucial opportunity to act for the agricultural sector.
It is in this context that Farm Europe is launching an initiative to map priority actions and investments for sustainable water management in agriculture, and to identify how these actions can be aligned with existing and future public policies.
