In the field of transport, the EU wants to increase the current 14% to 24% renewable energy by 2030 to achieve its new level of ambition to reduce GHG emissions by 55% in 2030. For this purpose, the Commission is assessing and reviewing the REDII directive. European agriculture can play a decisive role in achieving the ambitious goals of the Green Deal. It already provided solutions reducing the carbon emissions of liquid fuels for example by 50-75.
